The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

3) He lost said arm (^) in an accident
4) His fiancee was killed in said wreck (^)

8) He occasionally has trust issues
9) Has a blue vespa named Sea Breeze
10) He got Sea Breeze for his birthday
11) Sea Breeze is only about as fast as an actual breeze so he only uses it to go short distances
12) Leo has a crush on Marissa, but after losing his memory when escaping the gallery, he starts to fall in love again, but at a slower pace
13) He can get awkward with corny jokes when intoxicated
14) His best friend forever is Lotus
15) He takes the forever part literally and will try his best to stay beside her
16) Leo hates ice cream. He prefers bite sized cookies and and little cup cakes
17) It's believed later on that he may have a small connection to Snow Abendroth, the 2nd painting that isn't trying to kill him
18) Leo had his engagement ring melted into the steel rod that makes up his right ring finger
19) Leo likes to call himself Boss when he's alone
20) His kiss with Marissa made his burden of loss go away, but the effect starts to slowly deplete as memory of the kiss fades when they escape the gallery
